Ex-senator Shehu Sani stated on Thursday that Governor Ademola Adeleke requires a miracle or magic to avoid defeat in the upcoming Osun State governorship election.
Sani pointed to a fractured opposition contrasted with a strong and cohesive All Progressives Congress as the primary reason for his forecast.
Writing on X, the former lawmaker emphasized that Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, serving as the chairman of the APC national campaign council for the state vote, will drive the party toward victory.
He wrote: “Osun; a divided opposition and the fact that almost all of the ADC members in the state are genetically and spiritually from the APC, only a miracle or magic will save the incumbent Governor. In the absence of both miracle and magic, Hope Uzodinma will undoubtedly retrieve Osun for APC.”
The ruling party selected Bola Oyebamiji as its candidate for the Saturday ballot as Adeleke runs for a second term.
Although Adeleke, running under the Accord Party, expressed full confidence in winning reelection, various ruling party chieftains maintain that he will face an electoral loss.
