Bashir, the son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, has vowed never to forgive the All Progressives Congress, APC, accusing the party of attacking his family when they were vulnerable.

Bashir stated that even if his father returns from detention victorious like India’s nationalist, Mahatma Gandhi, he will not let it go.

In a post on X, he stated: “Even if my father emerges from his ordeal like Gandhi and forgives and forgets, I won’t.”

He added: “I will acquire power somehow for the sole reason of terrorising those (APC) that attacked like wolves upon my family at our weakest. Friend or foe, it won’t matter.”

He further noted: “Caveat: Only @mahmudribadu will be spared. That one is my biological brother. Everyone else is fair game.”

This development follows a public dispute between Bashir and his brother, Bello, a member of the House of Representatives.

On Friday, Bashir directed harsh insults at Bello amid an ongoing family feud and sibling rivalry.

Meanwhile, Nasir El-Rufai has spent approximately 200 days in detention under the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, over corruption allegations during his administration in Kaduna State.
