A young boy who was reportedly washed away by heavy floodwaters in a rural community within Enugu State has been found and brought to safety alive, a full day after his sudden disappearance.
The miraculous survival came to light through a viral video circulating on Wednesday, which captured the moment rescuers pulled the youngster from danger, sparking tears and emotional outbursts from eyewitnesses at the scene.
According to a social media user who shared the footage, the harrowing ordeal unfolded in an Enugu neighborhood, though the child’s exact identity and the precise details of how he fell into the fast-flowing water remain unclear.
The post confirmed that search and rescue efforts yielded results approximately 24 hours after the torrential currents carried the boy off.
Surrounding crowds could be heard erupting into prayers and songs of praise during the rescue, shouting,
“Jesus, Igwe, Jesus, Igwe. Hallelyah.”
