The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially activated its online portal for the recruitment of ad-hoc personnel ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a public notice released on its official X handle on Friday, the commission confirmed that the INECPRES registration portal was opened to prospective applicants on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The electoral body specified that the submission window will remain accessible until midnight on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will activate the INECPRES for interested Applicants who wish to serve as ad-hoc staff during the 2027 General Election as scheduled below,” the notice stated.
Providing further timelines, INEC indicated that portal operations commenced at 8:00 AM on September 18 and will conclude precisely at 12:00 AM on November 18.
“The activation of INECPRES on Friday, 18 September 2026 by 8:00am and closes on Wednesday, 18th Nov, 2026 by 12 midnight,” the commission noted.
The agency confirmed that candidates can apply through its official website using either web browsers or mobile application channels.
“The Online application will be available on the INEC website via the link inecnigeria.org (for both mobile App. and the Web Application),” it stated.
For candidates using desktop computers or laptops, the commission outlined specific URL access details for the web version of the portal.
“The web version (using a laptop and desktop) shall be accessible via the portal URL: pres.inecnigeria.org,” the notice added.
Applicants opting for Android devices were instructed to download the official application using links provided by the electoral body.
“The Android mobile App. shall be accessible via the link inecnigeria.org/pres.apk or inecpres-app.com/pres-app.apk,” the agency explained.
INEC advised interested individuals to complete their registration exclusively through the designated INECPRES platforms before the stipulated deadline.
The exercise forms a crucial component of the commission’s early logistics and manpower preparation for the 2027 general elections.
