The Nigerian Air Force has released the official names of the 25 individuals who tragically lost their lives in the aircraft crash that occurred in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the victims comprise five crew members and 20 passengers who were aboard the aircraft on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.
The Air Force confirmed that search-and-rescue operations were activated immediately, though regretfully there were no survivors, prompting Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, to order a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Aneke expressed heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the victims, assuring them of the Service’s full support during this period of national mourning, while a condolence register has been opened at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja.
