Prominent activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has raised an alarm over alleged strategic plots to manipulate the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In a public warning issued on Sunday, Yesufu pointed to the potential last-minute postponement of the polls as a core tactic designed to compromise the integrity of the electoral process.

I don’t know why I feel one of the game plans to rig this election will be for the election to be postponed by a week on the eve of election or very close to that day knowing fully well that politicians are most vulnerable at that time, Yesufu wrote.

You have spent all your monies and all spending already done has to start afresh, she added, highlighting the financial strain such an occurrence would impose.

Urging her supporters and fellow citizens to remain vigilant, she stressed the importance of proactive planning and psychological preparedness against electoral malpractices.

Anyway, prepare for all eventuality. If you are fighting evil, you must think evil but have the discipline to not do the evil otherwise you become what you are fighting, she stated.

My business, always is to think of all ‘what ifs’ and prepare the strategy to mitigate them, bring it all on, she concluded.
