A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to a viral video showing Vice President Kashim Shettima running toward the podium during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Cross River State.
The footage captured Shettima alongside the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, jogging toward the stage at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.
Upon reaching the podium, the Vice President displayed several energetic dance moves, with Yilwatda joining him on stage in a bid to electrify the gathered crowd of party supporters.
The display has been widely interpreted by political observers as a calculated effort to demonstrate physical stamina and counter public narratives regarding the fitness of the administration’s leadership.
Reacting to the viral clip, Aisha Yesufu—a prominent supporter of NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi—jokingly remarked that the former Anambra State governor had set a physical challenge for opposition politicians.
Sharing the video on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, the activist wrote: “Peter Obi don give Nigerian politicians assignment.”
