He expressed gratitude to Almighty God over the development and commended the judiciary for upholding the principles of the rule of law, due process and peaceful resolution of disputes through democratic institutions.

According to him, the outcome should not be viewed as a victory over any individual but as an opportunity for reflection, reconciliation and the rebuilding of political unity within the party.

“This is not a moment of triumph over anyone. It is a moment for reconciliation, reflection, and renewed unity. There is no victor and no vanquished,” he stated.

Extending a hand of friendship to Senator Sunday Karimi, Aro acknowledged his contributions to the political development of Kogi West and maintained that their political differences should not undermine their relationship or shared responsibility to the people.

He also appealed to Karimi’s supporters across the seven local government areas of the senatorial district to embrace the spirit of reconciliation, noting that their loyalty and commitment to their preferred candidate remained qualities worthy of respect.

Aro maintained that the mandate was not his alone but belonged to every member of the APC and, ultimately, the people of Kogi West, regardless of their political affiliations or preferences.

He consequently urged his supporters to exercise restraint in celebrating the court judgment, warning against bitterness, provocation, ridicule or any action capable of deepening divisions within the party.

“There must be no room for bitterness, triumphalism, recrimination, or political exclusion,” he cautioned, urging party loyalists to demonstrate maturity and respect for the feelings of others.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, Aro disclosed his intention to personally reach out to party leaders, stakeholders, elders, women, youths and supporters across the seven local government areas as part of efforts to consolidate unity and strengthen the party’s political structure.

He said his proposed campaign would be built around inclusion, mutual respect and a commitment to addressing the developmental aspirations of the people.

According to him, the priorities would include expanding opportunities, strengthening representation and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach communities across the senatorial district.

The APC chieftain also called on party leaders and members to close ranks and work harmoniously towards securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.

He stressed that the collective interest of Kogi West and the APC must take precedence over individual political ambitions, adding that unity was essential to achieving meaningful progress.

Reiterating his willingness to reconcile with Senator Karimi and his supporters, Aro expressed optimism about the possibility of both political camps coming together to rebuild confidence, exchange ideas and work in the interest of the district.

He maintained that political contests should not destroy the bonds of brotherhood and shared destiny among the people, advocating a Kogi West where every community and individual would have a sense of belonging and opportunity to contribute to collective development.

Aro concluded by praying for God’s continued blessings upon Kogi West Senatorial District, Kogi State and Nigeria.
