Bala Aliyu, the Chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), announced the results on Sunday morning.
In a statement to the press following the completion of the collation exercise in Gusau, Aliyu confirmed that PDP candidates emerged victorious in all local government areas, including Gusau, Kaura-Namoda, Maru, Talata Mafara, and Anka, among others.
He hailed the elections as free, fair, and credible, crediting the success of the process to the collaborative efforts of security agencies, election officials, and voters.
Wadatau Madawaki, the PDP representative at the collation center, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, describing the results as a decisive endorsement of the party’s leadership and its commitment to the progress of Zamfara State.
Madawaki urged the newly elected local government chairmen to align with Governor Dauda Lawal’s “Rescue Mission” and work together to take the state to greater heights.
Independent observers monitoring the election praised the peaceful conduct of the polls, noting the improved security measures that helped ensure a smooth and orderly election process.
