Yahaya Bello Arrives FCT Court Over Alleged N110bn Fraud

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has arrived at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja for a hearing concerning allegations of a N110 billion fraud against him.

In April 2024, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared Bello wanted.

On Wednesday morning, he was brought before the court.

Since the charges were filed, the EFCC has faced difficulties in bringing Bello to court for arraignment.

The charges initially filed by the commission include 19 counts of money laundering, involving over N80 billion, and are also directed at his nephews—Ali Bello, Dauda Suliman, and Abdulsalam Hudu.
