How Yahaya Bello Drove Himself To EFCC Office

Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has once again responded to an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of misappropriated funds.

Sources close to the EFCC revealed that he arrived at the agency’s office on Tuesday accompanied by his lawyers, not with the current Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo.

This visit follows the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the states’ case regarding the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.

It was also confirmed that Bello drove himself in a black Hilux to the EFCC office with his legal team.

While there had been speculations last week about his visit, his media aides did not respond to inquiries regarding the matter.

At the last hearing on November 14, the EFCC had requested an adjournment until Wednesday, November 27, in the new case it filed against Bello.

The commission noted that the 30-day period for the summons previously issued was still ongoing.

The EFCC also granted administrative bail to Bello’s co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, and requested an extension for the first defendant to appear.
