Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has urged President Bola Tinubu to lower the price of petrol (PMS) to N300 per litre between December and January to allow Nigerians to enjoy a more festive Christmas.
Currently, fuel prices hover between N1,100 and N1,200 per litre after the removal of the fuel subsidy.
This price hike, following Tinubu’s subsidy removal in 2023, has contributed to rising inflation, which currently stands at 33.88%.
