Speaking as a guest at a town hall meeting for Christian leaders in the North, Dogara urged Nigerians to back President Bola Tinubu in his efforts to transform the country through the tax reform bills that are awaiting approval by the National Assembly.
The event, titled “Church and Society: Tax Reforms and Matters Arising”, focused on governance and development issues.

Dogara lamented that political leaders from Northern Nigeria had squandered over 40 years of opportunities to lead the country, resulting in widespread poverty and underdevelopment in the region.
He called on Northerners to avoid blaming President Tinubu for the region’s struggles, stressing the importance of unity in supporting the tax reform bills.
According to Dogara, these reforms have the potential to bring significant transformation to both the North and Nigeria as a whole.
