APC In Trouble As Kwankwaso Makes Strong Vow In Kano

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, pledged on Wednesday to “significantly reduce the All Progressives Congress’ votes in Kano State” in the 2027 elections.

He made this statement while hosting former councillors and senior special advisers from the previous administration at his residence in Kano, during a meeting with stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area.

Kwankwaso attributed the success of his team in the 2023 elections, which led to the Peoples Democratic Party struggling to secure just 15,000 votes in Kano, to their hard work and efforts.

He noted that his party, the New Nigeria People’s Party “achieved this remarkable feat despite being a new political platform coupled with the late start of its campaign.”

“Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come  2027”, Kwankwaso added.

The former governor stressed the importance of commitment and grassroots mobilisation to strengthen the NNPP’s standing as a leading political force in Kano and beyond.

He urged his supporters to stay focused on achieving results that would ensure the party’s success in upcoming elections.
