Shettima Commiserates With Kukah Over Brother’s Death

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the people of Ikulu Kingdom, Kamuru in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, following the death of Agwom Akulu, Yohanna Sidi Kukah.

Upon arrival at Ikulu Kingdom, the Vice President was warmly received by Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, who is the brother of the late Agwom Akulu.

During his visit, Vice President Shettima reassured the people of the government’s dedication to advancing rural development in the area.

The late Agwom Akulu had been abducted in 2018. His kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N100 million, which was later reduced to N20 million after his family expressed their inability to pay the larger sum.

Despite the threats to his life, he was eventually released. The abduction took place at his private residence in Anchuna village, and one of the monarch’s guards was also taken by the kidnappers.
