Arrested ‘Gospel Singer’ Timilehin Ajayi’s Father Makes Request

The father of Timilehin Ajayi, the gospel singer accused for killing a corp member, Salome Adaidu, has asked for his son’s release.

Ajayi was found in possession of Salome Adaidu’s severed head in a polythene bag and has been remanded by the Nasarawa State High Court.

The heinous event allegedly occurred in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, a village near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

While Salome’s family continues to grieve, Ajayi’s father is pleading for his release. He made the request during an interview with Channels Television.

“I want government to help me so that the matter is settled. I want them to help me beg so that he is released” He said

Unlike the father, the mother said she has left everything for government to handle.

“‘”If it was one of my daughters they did that to, how would I feel?” She asked

“So government can do anything they want to do. Everything is in their hands.” She concluded

During his interrogation, Ajayi, who also markets himself as a motivational speaker on TikTok, confessed to committing the crime.

In a now-viral video, the suspect confessed that he had been in a one-year relationship with Adaidu before her murder.

He said that a heated conversation turned into a physical encounter during which Adaidu attempted to stab him with a knife.

Ajayi, who rose to prominence after releasing his album God of the Earth in 2020, revealed that the remainder of Adaidu’s body was at his home.

Adaidu’s remains have subsequently been interred, as seen in a viral video of a group of men executing the burial while melancholy wailing can be heard in the background.
