Why PDP Land Title Was Revoked – FCTA

The FCT Administration clarified that the revocation of the PDP secretariat’s land title was due to over N7 million in unpaid ground rent from 2006.

Director of Lands, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, explained that the PDP’s Wadata Plaza headquarters also has outstanding debts from 1998.

He stated that the revocation was part of a larger action against over 4,000 defaulting landowners.

Nwankwoeze urged residents to avoid blackmailing the FCTA, emphasizing that their actions serve the public good.

He advised affected property owners to appeal to Minister Wike for a grace period to settle their debts.

In addition to land issues, the FCT executive council approved:

  • N1,940,572,410 for earth-moving equipment for the Abuja metropolitan management council.
  • Over N200 million for Microsoft licenses to automate revenue collection in the FCT.
