Atiku Confirms Opposition Coalition To Oust Tinubu In 2027 Election

Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and 2023 PDP presidential candidate, confirmed the formation of a coalition to challenge the APC in the 2027 elections.

He made this announcement at a press conference in Abuja on March 20, 2025, convened to address the Rivers State emergency declaration.

When questioned about the coalition’s role as the primary opposition, Atiku confirmed its purpose.

This signals a strategic political realignment among opposition forces. While coalition details remain undisclosed, it indicates a united effort to challenge the APC’s power.

The press conference also featured condemnations of the Rivers State state of emergency, which Atiku and others deemed unconstitutional and detrimental to Nigerian democracy.
