Locations Of Lagos Speed Limit Monitors To Avoid N50,000 Fine [FULL LIST]

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies, has deployed new Intelligent Transport System sites in February to monitor speeding and manage traffic flow.

Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, stated that these installations will complement existing Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras and other Traffic Management Solution devices.

Traffic violations at these locations will result in SMS notifications from the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS), detailing the offense and fines.

Red light violations incur a N20,000 fine, while speeding violations are fined N50,000.

The following locations are equipped with speed cameras, traffic lights, and e-police stations:

  1. Third Mainland Bridge (80 km/h speed limit)
  2. Alapere, Ogudu Road (80 km/h speed limit)
  3. NITEL, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way (60 km/h speed limit)
  4. Ojota Bridge (by Motorway) (50 km/h speed limit)
  5. Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge (50-60 km/h speed limit)
  6. Allen Avenue Road Junction (50 km/h speed limit)
  7. Nurudeen Olowopopo Road (60 km/h speed limit)
  8. Ikorodu Road (various locations) (50-60 km/h speed limit)
  9. Oshodi-Apapa Expressway (50-60 km/h speed limit)
  10. Epe Expressway (80 km/h speed limit)
  11. Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road (60 km/h speed limit)
