Tens Of Thousands March In US Against Trump

Tens of thousands of people protested in major US cities against President Donald Trump’s policies, marking some of the largest demonstrations since he returned to the White House. Rallies occurred in Washington, New York, Houston, Florida, Colorado, Los Angeles, and other locations.

Protesters expressed anger over various Trump administration policies, including government staffing cuts, trade tariffs, and perceived erosion of civil liberties.

In New York, a protester criticized the administration’s leadership.

In Washington, demonstrators traveled from across the country to voice their opposition. In Los Angeles, a protester dressed as a character from “The Handmaid’s Tale” held a sign referencing Trump’s anti-abortion stance.

In Denver, a protester held a sign opposing a “king” for the USA.

The rallies also extended to European capitals, with demonstrations in London and Berlin. Protesters expressed concerns about Trump’s trade policies and described his actions as “economic lunacy” and a “constitutional crisis.”

In the US, left-leaning groups like MoveOn and Women’s March organized “Hands Off” events in over 1,000 cities and congressional districts.

Protesters accused Trump of “fascism” and criticized his efforts to downsize the government and impose conservative values.

At the National Mall in Washington, speakers, including Representative Jamie Raskin, addressed the crowd. Activist Graylan Hagler also spoke, vowing continued resistance.

The demonstrations were largely peaceful, with a diverse range of participants.

A previous Women’s March in 2016 drew an estimated half-million protesters to Washington.

Organizers for the recent rally anticipated a smaller turnout but reported larger numbers.

Despite the protests and declining approval ratings, the White House dismissed the demonstrations, and Trump reiterated that his policies would not change.
