Court Delivers Ruling On Fayose’s Money Laundering Case

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had brought the charges against him.

The court upheld Fayose’s no-case submission, determining that the prosecution failed to present sufficient prima facie evidence to require him to offer a defense.

Fayose had been on trial for allegations of money laundering and fraud during his time as governor, but after years of legal proceedings, the court concluded that the EFCC’s evidence was insufficient to substantiate the charges.
