Former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has publicly declared his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu’s “re-election bid.”
Ambode dismissed “claims linking him” to a different political party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that the reports were “false publications” meant to be a distraction.
In a statement released on Friday, Ambode reaffirmed his “absolute and unshakable loyalty to the APC” and to President Tinubu, whom he considers his “leader, mentor, and a tireless champion for Nigeria’s progress.”

Ambode also noted the end of fuel scarcity, improved security, and policies aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Ambode expressed his conviction that Tinubu’s “focus, determination, and inclusive governance style” are “restoring hope and delivering tangible results,” and that “given another four years,
Nigerians will have even greater reason to celebrate.”
He concluded by urging party members and citizens to “ignore political distractions,” stating, “I stand solidly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress. We will work together to ensure victory in 2027 to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.”
