Ghanaians Seen ‘Closing’ Nigerian-Owned Shop In Ghana [VIDEO]

A video shared on X on Wednesday shows the moment a group of Ghanaians were allegedly closing down a Nigerian-owned shop, despite the owner’s protests.

The shop owner, who claimed to have a “Ghanaian passport” and to be in the country “legally,” pleaded with the “enforcement officers.”

He said, “I am not in Ghana illegally. I am not one of those Nigerians in Ghana illegally. I have a Ghana passport, and all my children have Ghana passports. The government of Ghana knows that I’m here doing business.”

However, the enforcement officers were “unmoved.” One of them responded, “Enforcement is not about those legally or illegally… Are you not a Nigerian? The enforcement is against Nigerians doing business in Ghana.”

The team’s leader further emphasized, “Have you seen any Ghanaian in Nigeria doing business or owns a shop like you?”

The incident has “sparked controversy on X,” with some users “condemning the actions of the Ghanaians.”
