Afrobeats sensation Asake was recently captured in a viral video navigating a massive crowd of pilgrims as he attempted to reach the Black Stone at the Kaaba in Mecca.
The singer, born Ololade Ahmed, was seen being hoisted into the air by fellow worshippers in a dedicated effort to touch the sacred stone, though the sheer density of the crowd made the task visibly difficult.
The footage shows the music star, dressed in a traditional white robe, surrounded by thousands of others engaged in prayers and religious rites at the Grand Mosque.
Asake is currently visiting the holy city during the sacred month of Ramadan, a time focused on spiritual reflection and communal worship.
Prior to this video, the artist had shared his own footage on social media documenting his visit to Masjid an-Nabawi, where he was seen offering prayers at the highly revered Raudhatul Jannah.
