A video has captured the moment the Commissioner for Education in Imo State confronted a Reverend Father.

The confrontation ensued over the punishment the cleric meted out to some students.

The Reverend Father had ordered students who arrived late to kneel down outside the premises.

However, the Commissioner countered the action, informing the Reverend Father that corporal punishment had already been abolished.

    Which law are they breaking Mr. Commissioner? This is a mission school. The Catholic Church has her education board/ministry and they have education policy that drive school curriculum. I see this as “cheap popularity”.
