Prominent Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija reality television star, Aderombi Adedayo Martins, popularly recognized as DeeOne, has clinched the Lagos State House of Assembly ticket for the Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1.
DeeOne, who is running under the flag of the BOOT Party, secured the Constituency 1 slot following his victory at the party’s primary election.
Expressing his gratitude on Wednesday night via a statement shared on his official Instagram page, the comedian thanked the party leadership for placing their confidence in him and pledged his absolute commitment to providing dedicated leadership to his constituents if elected.
In his social media post, he explicitly wrote, “I want to thank my party, BOOT party for the confidence in voting for me to emerge the winner of the primary election for Ibeju lekki constituency 1.”
Directing his message to the residents of the area, he further added, “To Ibeju lekki constituency 1, come 2027 by the grace of God, I will be your worker and not your boss”.
