Army Arrests Alleged Fake Major General In Kaduna

Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully apprehended a man in Kaduna State for allegedly posing as a retired Major General.

The individual was taken into custody on June 11 by soldiers of the 312 Artillery Regiment, who were deployed at the Strike Force Base in the Sabo area of Kaduna, following “intelligence reports.”

Military sources disclosed that the suspect is “currently in custody undergoing preliminary investigation.”

The sources further revealed that the suspect will be handed over “to the appropriate security authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution after the completion of initial military procedures.”

Officials are currently working to determine the motive behind the alleged impersonation and “whether other individuals may have been involved in the scheme.”
