The man seen in a disturbing viral video brutally assaulting his wife on a veranda has been taken into police custody after being apprehended around Ogbor Hill in Abia State.
The footage, which captured the couple on a bed placed just outside their room in a space they used for relaxation, showed the wife positioned face down in a side-sleeping posture while the man repeatedly landed punches.
The case gained significant traction after a social media user translated the audio from the video, providing a chilling account of the man’s verbal threats where he was heard shouting: “Do you want to die? Do you know I can kill you now? Do you want to die? Do you know I can kill you here?”
