Justice Mohammed Umar has granted bail to the leader of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, setting the bail bond at N200 million.
In a ruling delivered on Tuesday morning, the court outlined strict conditions for the activist’s release.
Sowore is required to provide two sureties: one must be a traditional ruler from his community, and the other must possess landed property within Abuja.
Furthermore, the court mandated that both sureties must be verified by the prosecution.
Additional stipulations include the surrender of Sowore’s international passport to the deputy chief registrar of the court.
Following the ruling, the judge handed the defendant over to his legal counsel and adjourned the proceedings until Monday, July 6, 2026, for the opening of the defense.
