The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has raised concerns over alleged discrepancies in the academic credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, the activist claimed that the university certificate presented by Tinubu for the upcoming 2027 general elections differs from the document he submitted in 1999 during his run for Lagos State Governor.

Sowore further cautioned Nigerians against supporting candidates lacking verifiable academic histories.

“The APC candidate only presented a paper from Chicago State University, which was different from the paper he presented in 1999,” he stated.

INEC published the credentials and personal details of all presidential aspirants on Friday, sparking widespread public debate and scrutiny over the exclusion of President Tinubu’s primary and secondary school qualifications.
