Renowned Nigerian Afrobeat artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to the massive arrival of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, for the party’s high-profile governorship campaign mega rally.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, alongside numerous governors belonging to the ruling platform, have converged on Osun State to spearhead mobilization efforts ahead of Saturday’s crucial electoral contest.
Top APC figures have publicly committed to securing a definitive victory for the party during the weekend polls.
Reports confirmed that key state chief executives—including Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, and Uba Sani of Kaduna State—touched down in Osogbo on Wednesday evening.
Taking to his official account on X, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, formally welcomed the visiting ruling party heavyweights to the region.
However, by reposting Oyetola’s message on X, Davido dismissed any prospects of an electoral triumph for the opposition party.
He asserted that even an assembly of biblical proportions would fail to secure victory for the ruling faction.
“If you like gather Jesus 12 disciples o ma LULE for the 3rd time”, the singer wrote.
Davido is closely related to the incumbent state governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is contesting his bid for a second term under the platform of the Accord Party.
