According to reports, Pauline Ugoyenka, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) REC designated for Ebonyi State, arrived in Osun State ahead of the election, despite Osun not falling under her official jurisdiction.

Responding to this development, Davido posted: “She was not deployed by INEC. What is she doing in Osun.

“She was sent here from Governor Hope Uzodimma to rig. We will resist you, madam.”

As of the time of this publication, INEC has yet to release any official statement addressing this concerning situation.

The highly anticipated Osun State governorship election is slated for August 15, 2026.

The electoral race features incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke—Davido’s uncle—who is vying for re-election against prominent challengers from the All Progressives Congress (APC), the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and other political factions.
