Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore was caught on video engaging in a heated argument with security personnel after his vehicle was temporarily blocked from entering the venue to sign the National Peace Accord with other presidential candidates ahead of the 2027 general election.
In the footage, Sowore challenged the officials from inside his car as they requested his invitation.
He questioned why other vehicles were permitted passage while his team faced strict checks and expressing frustration over selective enforcement at the checkpoint.
Supporters accompanying the activist backed the demand for unhindered access, noting that the incident occurred as participants arrived for the official peace pact ceremony.
The video subsequently drew mixed reactions on social media as some internet users criticised him over the manner of the confrontation.
