Retail prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), commonly known as cooking gas, have maintained relative stability across Nigeria following a drop in wholesale depot prices and sustained domestic supply from local refiners and major importers.

Wholesale terminal rates at major coastal depots—including NavGas, 11 PLC, Rainoil, and Dangote Refinery—currently range between N945 and N1,050 per kilogram.

Consequently, average retail prices at gas refill stations across the country are dispensing between N1,200 and N1,450 per kilogram depending on geographic location and regional logistics costs.

A standard price breakdown for standard household cylinder sizes across retail outlets reflects the following ranges:

• 3kg Gas Cylinder Refill: Retails between N3,600 and N4,350 across major urban centers.

• 6kg Gas Cylinder Refill: Retails between N7,200 and N8,700 depending on retail station location.

• 12.5kg Gas Cylinder Refill: Retails between N15,000 and N18,125 across regional markets.

• 50kg Commercial Cylinder Refill: Dispensed between N60,000 and N72,500 for commercial and industrial users.

Regional market variations indicate that coastal hubs and major port cities such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Delta State report lower retail refill rates averaging N1,200 to N1,370 per kilogram.

Conversely, inland distribution points across northern states record slightly higher figures, ranging up to N1,450 per kilogram due to long-haul transportation freight adjustments.
