The South East Development Commission (SEDC) has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, describing the celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey and renew commitment to its progress.
The Commission, in a statement by its Board and Management, celebrated the resilience, unity and enterprise of Nigerians, particularly the people of the South East, whose contributions continue to play an important role in the development of the country.
The SEDC said the anniversary should serve as a reminder of the need for greater unity and collective effort towards building a more prosperous South East and a stronger Nigeria.
It called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to the task of nation-building, stressing the importance of working together to create opportunities and improve the well-being of citizens.
The Commission also expressed optimism that the years ahead would bring greater development and prosperity to the South East and Nigeria at large.
