Few days to the governorship election in Edo state, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa has arrived in Benin City the state capital.
Upon his arrival, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) visited the Headquarters of the 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, in Benin City to assess the troops’ level of preparedness in supporting the Nigeria Police during the upcoming off-cycle gubernatorial election in Edo State, scheduled for September 21, 2024.

General Musa is also expected to engage with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, aiming to make the election peaceful and free of any disturbances.
