The Reported August 5 Said To Be Release Date For WASSCE Results Release Is “Unofficial” – WAEC Makes Clarification

The West African Examinations Council has announced that no official date has been set for the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results.

Students and parents are advised to remain patient and await further updates from WAEC regarding the results.

The council assured that efforts are being made to ensure the results are released promptly and accurately.

WAEC Communication Officer Moyosore Adeyegbe stated that the reported August 5 release date is “unofficial.”

“It could be released before the said date and may even be after,” she told The PUNCH in a telephone chat on Tuesday.

“The August 5 date was not verified from the appropriate quarters,” she added
