BREAKING: Police Arrest Suspected Foreign Sponsors Of Protest With Russian Flag

The Nigerian Police have announced the arrest of foreign nationals suspected of sponsoring protests involving the use of the Russian flag in various parts of the country.

Police Commissioner Salman Garba disclosed this information following a security meeting with Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf on Tuesday.

He stated that the police and other security agencies are committed to cracking down on anyone attempting to destabilize the state’s security. Additionally, he announced a further relaxation of the curfew, now set from 6 am to 6 pm.

The #Endbadgovernance protests, which began as a demonstration against hardship and hunger, took an unexpected turn on Monday when protesters in some Northern states were seen waving the Russian flag and chanting “Tinubu must go.”

This development has sparked widespread reactions, with figures such as human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, and Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Mustapha, condemning the act as a treasonable offense.
