What Happened To Tinubu’s Minister Of Communications And Digital Economy On Friday

Bosun Tijani, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

In a statement on Friday, Tijani expressed his honor at being invited by UN Secretary-General António Guterres to join the board, describing the appointment as a significant achievement for Nigeria.

“My invitation to serve on the UNITAR Board is a win for Nigeria and an acknowledgement of the giant strides made by President Bola Tinubu towards promoting economic and social development.

“Particularly, it is a validation of our efforts and achievements in building capacity and bridging the technology skills gap through our initiatives, including the 3MTTNigeria, the largest talent accelerator in the world,” he stated.

Tijani also noted that the appointment underscores Nigeria’s success in enhancing its capacity and addressing the technology skills gap.

As a board member, he will contribute to shaping the principles and policies that guide UNITAR’s activities and operations.
