After landing around 2 p.m., they proceeded to a closed-door meeting at the Government House.

This meeting, held less than a month after a similar gathering in Enugu, is aimed at addressing pressing issues affecting both the nation and the party, particularly focusing on the ongoing crisis within the Rivers State chapter.

A key agenda item is the contentious letter from acting National Chairman Umar Damagum and National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu, which disputes a Notice of Discontinuance filed on July 24 in a Rivers State legal case.

The governors are expected to discuss this matter to find a resolution and mitigate further complications within the party.

Additionally, some of the governors will attend the wedding of the Taraba State governor’s daughter today.
