To enhance operational flexibility, introduce fresh perspectives, and optimize leadership, Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has approved the redeployment of several senior officers, including Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, Directors, and Commanders.
According to a statement by Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the changes include Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Olasunkanmi Abidoye, moving from the Defence Headquarters to NAF Headquarters as Chief of Standards and Evaluation; AVM Adeniyi Amesinlola, previously Commandant at the Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, now Chief of Transformation and Innovation at NAF Headquarters; and AVM Abubakar Adamu, appointed as Group Managing Director of NAFIL Group.

Additional redeployments include AVM Iboro Etukudo as Chief of Policy and Plans; AVM Francis Edosa as Chief of Training and Operations; AVM Dalhat Ladan as Chief of Air Intelligence; AVM Suleiman Usman as Chief of Communication and Information Systems; AVM Sayo Olatunde as Chief of Defence Policy and Plans; and AVM Lanre Oluwatoyin as Chief of Defence Space Administration at the Defence Headquarters.
Other notable appointments are AVM Ibikunle Daramola, formerly Chief of Communication and Information Systems, now Chief of Civil-Military Relations; AVM Abiola Amodu, from Director General of the Air Force Research and Development Institute to Chief of Aircraft Engineering; and AVM Patrick Phillips as Chief of Logistics.

The recent redeployment also includes AVM Elijah Ebiowe, who has been appointed as the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Tactical Air Command in Makurdi, and AVM Sunday Aneke, who will take over as the new AOC Mobility Command in Yenagoa.
Additional new appointments of Air Officers Commanding are AVM Abubakar Abdullahi, now overseeing the Air Training Command in Kaduna, and AVM Adeniran Ademuwagun, appointed as the AOC Logistics Command in Ikeja.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, congratulated the new appointees and emphasized the importance of these changes in fostering strategic flexibility and optimizing resources to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). He also highlighted the need for deep and critical thinking in developing strategies to address current security challenges.
