Members of the G5 of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also known as the Integrity Group, convened in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Thursday night.
The group consists of four former governors—Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State—along with the incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
Details of the meeting is not known but its coming amid the crisis rocking the PDP.

There is a current division within the PDP Governors Forum (PDP GF).
The division has taken on a new dimension, reflecting tensions within the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) regarding the ongoing tenure of acting national chairman, Iliya Damagum.
Damagum, who previously served as the PDP National Deputy Chairman (North), stepped into the role of acting National Chairman after the court suspended the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Hailing from Yobe State in the North-East, he is considered an ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Supporters of Damagum include Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
Opposition to Damagum comes from Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, as well as Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno.
In contrast, Governors Peter Mbah of Enugu and Dauda Lawal of Zamfara have chosen to remain neutral.
