A notorious bandit leader in Zamfara State, Kachalla Sani Black, has been killed by the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards (CPG).
According to a PRNigeria report, local police ambushed and eliminated Kachalla and two of his sons in Magama Mai Rake, located in the Maru Local Government Area.
The operation also led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, a PKT machine gun, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Kachalla Sani Black was a prominent bandit leader, rivaling Bello Turji, and operated in the Chabi and Dan Sadau areas of Maru.
He was notorious for terrorizing communities and commuters in Northern Zamfara, with his followers carrying out attacks in Kaduna, Niger, and Kebbi States. At the height of his influence, Sani Black had over 150 armed followers.
Known for leading deadly raids on Maru, Gusau, Tsafe, and other parts of Zamfara, Sani Black also trained his men in kidnapping and was infamous for crimes against women.
In 2021, police paraded one of his boys, Sani Mati Mai-Yanmata, who was notorious for kidnapping and raping women, including young girls and pregnant women, in the Shinkafi, Zurmi, and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas.
The then Zamfara Police Commissioner, CP Ayuba Elkanah, revealed that the bandit had been arrested while attempting to block a highway in Koliya to abduct citizens and wreak havoc on commuters.
