Uzodinma Nwafor of the Action Alliance (AA) has been declared the winner of the chairmanship election held on October 5 in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Adolphus Enebeli, announced the results on Sunday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

He noted that the Action Peoples Party (APP) secured all 19 councillorship positions in Etche LG.
In a breakdown of the councillorship elections, the electoral body reported that the APP won 314 seats, while the All Progressives Congress (APC), Boot Party, Labour Party, Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Young Progressives Party (YPP) each claimed one seat.
