The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won 10 chairmanship positions in the local government elections held on Wednesday, as announced by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC).
PLASIEC Chairman, Plangji Cishak, who also served as the Returning Officer for all 17 local government areas (LGAs), disclosed the results on Thursday at the commission’s headquarters in Jos. Final collation is still ongoing for the remaining areas.

Cishak confirmed that results for seven LGAs are yet to be declared. So far, the PDP, which is the ruling party in Plateau State, has secured victories in the following LGAs:
1. B/Ladi
2. Mikang
3. Shendam
4. Bassa
5. Riyom
6. Jos South
7. Jos East
8. Kanam
9. Qua’an Pan
10. Langtang South
The results for the following LGAs are still pending:
1. Pankshin
2. Mangu
3. Wase
4. Jos North
5. Kanke
6. Bokkos
7. Langtang North
