The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Debo Ologunagba, has responded to reports of his suspension from the party.
He claimed that he and his group are “fighting a just cause for the survival of the party.”
This comes after the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) announced the suspension of Ologunagba and the party’s National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, citing allegations of disloyalty and insubordination.

The party’s National Director of Publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, stated in a press release that the NWC had instructed the suspended officials to face a disciplinary committee led by the PDP’s Deputy National Chairman (South), Taofeek Arapaja.
In his response, Ologunagba told Channels Television that the NWC is divided, with some members supporting him and others siding with the acting National Chairman, Illiya Damagum.
He argued that his suspension cannot hold, as no party organ has confronted him, and he has not attended any meetings where the allegations were discussed.
Ologunagba denied attending the meeting where the decision to suspend him was made.
Though he did not name the NWC members backing him, he reiterated that his group is committed to a cause aimed at preserving the party.
He also accused the acting National Chairman and his supporters of causing more harm than good to the PDP.
