Omokri Reacts As Atiku Labels Tinubu ‘T-Pain’

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has reacted to a comment by presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar where he labelled President Bola Tinubu ‘T-Pain’.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar criticized President Bola Tinubu for appearing indifferent to the hardships caused by his policies, particularly the removal of the petrol subsidy.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), referred to Tinubu as “T-Pain,” accusing him of undermining the well-being of Nigerians with his economic decisions.

“The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country.

“As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country,” Atiku wrote.

Omokri took to X to react to the comment from Atiku though he didn’t tag the post made by the former vice president but his post comes hours after Atiku made his comment.

Omokri wrote on X: T-Pain should stand for Temporary Pain, because in life, you often have to grow through pain to go through gain. Nigeria is currently going through a necessary phase of pressure that will result in an accessory state of treasure.

The Southeast Asian nations experiencing economic strides today went through this Temporary Pain stage yesterday. It is inescapable for a country that wants to clique jump from Third World to First.

I support these reforms, and if we are to be intellectually honest, when you look at the manifestoes of both the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, everything this administration is doing is what we all said we would do if we won the 2023 election.

Float the Naira, remove fuel subsidy, and devolve power to states and local governments.

T-Pain is Temporary-Pain. There is no permanent gain without some T-Pain.
