LP Chairman, PDP Candidate Dump Parties For APC In Kaduna

Three days before the local government elections in Kaduna State, Hon. Isah Chiroma, the Labour Party state chairman, and Abdullahi Imrah, the PDP councilorship candidate for Kafachan Ward B in Jema’a LGA, have defected to the APC.

At the campaign flag-off and presentation of flags to councilorship candidates, the former Labour Party chairman explained that Senator Uba Sani’s inclusive governance and infrastructural development in Southern Kaduna inspired him to support the APC’s vision for progress in the state.

He emphasized that Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara is a grassroots leader, and there needs to be a shift in the perception that Southern Kaduna belongs to a single party, asserting that the APC is the party to lead this change.

Similarly, Abdullahi Imrah said that despite the closeness of the elections, he chose to leave the PDP and join Hon. Peter Tanko in the APC to collaborate on advancing the region’s development.

Welcoming the defectors, Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe commended their decision to join what she called the “winning team,” assuring them of full inclusion in the party.

Speaking on the upcoming elections, she noted that the large turnout of supporters indicated that the APC was well-positioned for victory.

She also urged party members to conduct themselves responsibly during the elections, emphasizing that the APC, confident of success, has no reason to engage in conflict.

APC Chairmanship candidate for Jema’a LGA, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, assured the people of Jemaa that they would experience the dividends of democracy through good governance and transparency.

“I have a lot of things for the community the issues of security, health, investment, and empowerment are paramount to the community, and these are things that we are looking for

“I admire Senator Uba Sani because of his closeness to the grassroots; before now, southern Kaduna has been marginalized in the issues of infrastructure like the rural reification, but for the government coming on board, most people are decamping for other parties to the APC. Because it is now clear what the government can do, he is doing well and carrying the people along”
