The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has officially appointed Mrs. Foluso Moronke Adelegan as the Director of Administration and Secretary to the Board of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti.
A letter dated October 16, 2024, with reference number SMH 587/S.17/TII./74, indicated that her appointment is effective from October 7, 2024.
In a statement released in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, it was noted that Adelegan brings significant administrative experience and has made substantial contributions to the development of the hospital.

Prior to this appointment, she was designated by the Board of Management of the hospital to succeed the previous Director of Administration as Head of Administration and Secretary to the Board.
Adelegan is recognized as the second substantive Director of Administration and the first woman to hold this position. The statement highlighted that during her short tenure, she has implemented numerous transformative changes in the hospital’s administrative processes.
A seasoned administrator, Adelegan began her career in 1999 at the then Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti (now FETHI), where she held various roles, including Head of Registry, pioneer Registrar of the School of Nursing, recorder to the Board of Management, and pioneer Head of the Human Resources Department.
In addition to her leadership roles, Adelegan has served as chairman and member of various management committees and is currently the Treasurer of the Forum of Directors and Heads of Administration of Federal Health Institutions in Nigeria.
Adelegan is an alumnus of the University of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State University, Federal University Oye Ekiti, and Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti. She holds multiple professional qualifications, including AHAN, FPAM, ACIPM, MNIM, ANIPR, APAN, and MIMCON.
