Suspected members of Eiye Confraternity have killed a suspected member of Aye cult group, Justice Onyekachukwu Elimani, just one day before his traditional wedding in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Onyekachukwu and his fiancée, Blessing, were scheduled to marry on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Umusam, Kwale.
Eyewitnesses reported that Elimani and another victim, identified as Double C, were killed in separate attacks on Friday, November 22.

One witness shared that Elimani, who was preparing for his wedding, was walking with friends to buy items when he was ambushed and shot by suspected members of a rival cult group.
Double C’s body was later found at Utagba-Uno Junction.
A third person was injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed location.
Security forces have set up roadblocks in the area to prevent further violence and stabilize the situation.
On November 13, Onyeka had posted his pre-wedding photos and invitations on Facebook, eagerly preparing for the upcoming celebration.
“Love is not just a feeling; it’s a decision to stay, to give, and to grow together, even on days when it’s hard. It’s the strength found in each other’s arms, the warmth in each other’s laughter, and the peace in each other’s presence. Please family and friends join us on 23rd November at umusam Kwale Delta state. Is all about love,” he wrote.
According to @naijaconfra a group on X which deals with cult related stories, Eiye confraternity in Delta has claimed responsibility for the attack that led to the death of Onyekachukwu stating that it was a retaliation for the killing of their number 1 man named Chika by Aye cult group in July this year.
